Steve shook his head, tilting his glass to swirl his milk and fighting down the blush that was crawling up to claim neck and ears.
"You were drunk and I knew that and when you got all up in my lap I just went with it when I knew better. That isn't... that's not me. Taking advantage of somebody like that isn't me. I couldn't have lived with it."
Steve can't say nothing, but he's content to dance around that other part of it. The only thing that can be said about that amounts to 'I just never realized I wanted you until right then and I didn't know what to do about it' which sounds so... juvenile.
