[Barbecues were decidedly downscale from Toni's usual party fare.

She wasn't really a 'small get together' kind of hostess - a short guest list simply an excuse for a more lavish experience to her mind - so her usual dinner party budget had been sunk almost entirely into the best of barbecue food, several kinds of beer and a frankly unreasonable amount of balloons.

As promised to Natasha the open bar was stocked, as promised to Steve there were deviled eggs and corn on the cob, and as reluctantly promised to Nick, the Mark V Maiden was locked up in the garage. Now all that remained were her handful of guests to arrive.

Jarvis knew who to let in and keep out so Toni is left simply to answer to elevator when it arrives at the penthouse suite.]

[Natasha' already frowning when she stepped into the elevator. The press always end up knowing about things, especially when it's Toni Stark related, so they were swarming around the doorway. They eventually left her alone when she threatened to break their cameras.

She even did a little demonstration for them. Toni will be hearing from CNN soon.

At least Jarvis has stopped trying to make small talk with her, so she let out a sigh to calm herself down. When the door opened, she stepped out and let out a soft laugh.]

That is a lot of balloons.

[ Steve is... Steve is lost somewhere in all these balloons... Which is weird, he's such a big guy and they're so easy to move over.

Actually, someone should be taping this, because Steve is quite visibly tangled in some of the strings for ones that are floating but weighed down onto the floor.

It's not exactly what he had in mind when they said barbecue, but he shouldn't have expected anything less lavish.

Finally out of the latex maze, he sees at least that there are deviled eggs here and makes a beeline for the table. ]
